 Professor Dr. Metin Önerci
Chairman of Board of Directors

Professor Doctor Metin Önerci graduated from Ankara Atatürk High School and Faculty of Medicine at Hacettepe University. He completed Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine ear-nose-throat department of specialization in 1983. He became associate professor in 1990 and professor in 1997.

Professor Dr. Önerci has previously been the head of the Turkish Society of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Society, European Rhinology Society, International Society of Nasal Inflammation and Allergic Diseases, International Otorhinolaryngologic Endoscopy, Allergy, Immunology, Snoring and Ronkopati Association, Collegium Otorhinolaryngologicum Amicitae Sacrum and International Nasal Polyps Association. He is currently serving as the World Ear Nose and Throat Society of Rhinology, Allergy, Facial Plastic Surgery, Sleep Disorders Committee and Secretary General of the International Association of Rhinology and the President of the Near Eurasia Ear Nose and Throat Society, National Rhinoplasty Society and National Snoring and Sleep Apnea Association. He is the Honorary Member of the European Society of Rhinology, Balkan Otorhinolaryngology and Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surger; President of National Otorhinolaryngological Allergy Association and Honorary President of the Turkish Society of Rhinology.  

Metin Önerci is the founder of the foundation and has been Chairman since the establishment of the foundation.  He is donating the income of his publications and conferances, and these donations provide the main income of the foundation. Metin Önerci is married to Semra Önerci and is the father of Zeynep Önerci Altunay and Özlem Önerci both of who are doctors as well. He currently continues serving as a lecturer at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine.
 
 
 Semra Önerci

Board of Directors Member

Semra Önerci was born in Ankara in 1957. She graduated from Ankara Girls High School in 1974 and Chemical Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University in 1979. She received her master's degree in Environmental Engineering Departmant from the same university in 1984.

She worked as an engineer in EtiBank General Directorate Project Facilities Department and at Wolfram Facilities in Etibank, Bursa, Uludağ.Then, she worked as a chief engineer for one year at the General Directorate of Information Technologies in EtiBank. She continued her career as the Vice President of Foreign Purchases and Purchasing Department in EtiBank General Directorate untill she retired in 2000.

After working for Scholarship and Donation Committee in ODTÜ Mezunlar Derneği (METU Graduates Association) she founded Türkiye Eğitim ve Sağlık Vakfı (Education and Health Foundation of Turkey) together with Metin Önerci and Mustafa Önerci. Within the foundation, she started aid efforts and reached hundereds of people in partnership with Ministry of Family and Social Policy and Altinay Help Unit under Altındağ Belediyesi. Semra Önerci still works actively as a Board of Directors member in Türkiye Eğitim ve Sağlık Vakfı.

       
 
Dr. Zeynep Önerci Altunay
Board of Directors Member

Zeynep Önerci Altunay was born in 1990 in Ankara. After graduated from TED Ankara College in 2004, she completed Hacı Ömer Tarman Anatolian High School in 2007. She completed her medical education in Faculty of Medicine at Başkent University in 2013. Zeynep Önerci  Altunay is continuing specialization in Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine ear-nose-throat department and also she is working at the hospital of the same university in Kadıköy.
Altunay has been closely interested in music and sports activities throughout her education life. At the same time, she worked as a volunteer at TESV. She continues working as Board of Directors member at Türkiye Eğitim ve Sağlık Vakfı since 2010.
